Stylin’ Out: When 7 Style Bloggers Brunch

Welcome to another installment of Stylin’ Out. This one holds special significance as it showcases some exceptionally impressive style bloggers, all hailing from the Philadelphia region. Aside from this gathering serving as a pretext to enjoy wine before noon, it presented an excellent opportunity to capture some fantastic photos and engage in meaningful conversations with one another.

THE SEASON

It’s spring, yet it feels like summer was here last week. Summers in Philadelphia can be quite intense. Temperatures reaching 90-100 degrees Fahrenheit coupled with relentless humidity are quite the norm. Thankfully, we haven’t hit that point yet. A few weeks back, when we all gathered for brunch, it was pleasantly warm, and I found myself comfortable with a few layers on, albeit without the jacket, of course. Guess I wasn’t quite ready to shed all those layers just then.

THE STYLE

Since it was a brunch event, a dress code wasn’t strictly enforced or necessary. I opted for a laid-back approach, sporting jeans and sneakers. For the upper body, I chose a long-sleeved Breton striped sweater layered over a chambray button-down. Stripes are a favorite for spring, and chambray is among my staples when temperatures start to rise. All in all, this creates a trendy, layered appearance that is casual yet perfectly suited for the cooler spring days.

THE LOCATION

The group was keen on choosing an unexplored venue, which led us to Butcher Bar in Philly, a trendy spot for meat aficionados and comfort food enthusiasts. They also boast a bar with 16 beers on tap, 6 draft wines, and whiskey-based cocktails. In summary, the group consensus was that the food was quite delicious!

I maintained a casual approach to this brunch with the bloggers. I have no qualms about layering, even during spring and summer months, if the weather suggests it. It was warmer than anticipated, but I was still relaxed and comfortable.

THE END

Blogger's at work
Just hanging out

This marks the end of a memorable edition of Stylin’ Out.
I had a fantastic time meeting with my fellow style bloggers. Someone aptly described it as a “judgement-free zone,” and it was. We shared our blogging challenges, exchanged advice, and provided mutual support. The ambiance was overwhelmingly inspiring.
I have immense respect for anyone who undertakes blogging because I understand the time and effort required to consistently produce high-quality content. Starting a blog and building a brand from the ground up is fraught with challenges; however, we are all on this shared path together, understanding the journey and each other. Authenticity recognizes authenticity.
Indeed, the group plans monthly, themed photoshoots. The next one is planned at Penn’s Landing, at a roller rink with a view of the Delaware River. The location is picturesque, and I’m eager to attend. But with summer fast approaching, it’s not always simple to find the moment. We’ll see!
